Bye Sixian...

Sixian is flying off to Australia on Friday... so I'd manage to book a time to meet her last minute yesterday. I am actually quite worried that she thought I gotta some conflicts with the cell, or something had happened to me... because I had not been seeing her ever since she came back..

Well, it turned out quite ok when we met.. hahaha.. we started off with apologising with one another before sitting there for hours to talk. To my dismay, then I realised that the place she is going is not Melbourne but Perth, cuz I had been asking people of which churches is faithful in Melbourne... so, just FYI, I found that Peter Adam's church - St Jude's Anglican Church, Carlton, is a good place to grow and mature in Christ, and it is near the University of Melbourne.

She is really a dear friend to me.. a sister of mine.. and she is one that I really hope she can grow strong and firm in the Lord, our God... and be in partnership with me in helping SJSM... Well now she is going off.. i really pray that she can get a good church there and grow well..

Wai's parent is in Perth. Wai would have been preaching in their Church in Perth now if it is not for SMU. Ask Wai which Church Wai's parent is in and introduce that Church to your friend. :P~ Try do to in soon. From my understanding, Australia is full of all kind of Churches... if you know what I mean...

Try to get her to try that Church first. Best is tell Wai to get somebody from that Church to contact her. What I understand is that it is Australian's culture to travel very far for many things, including Church. She might not used to the distance initially but once she get used to Australian Culture, it will be nothing.

Err.. Yongjie, I think it's not so simple. Perth and Melbourne are MILES apart - http://www.lonelyplanet.com/mapshells/australasia/australia/australia.htm

Some suggested churches/organisations - I haven't been there personally though, just some random online searches:

1. Try Australian FES: http://www.afeswa.info/groups.php. Especially if your friend's at UWA!
2. A local church- Wanneroo Anglican Church: http://www.perth.anglican.org/wanneroo/index.htm (where Peter Brain came from)

I can't find any other good Bible-centred churches at the moment, though there should be. Will inform you of any if I find any.

Anyway, for a better idea of some types of "Christian" leaders in Perth, check this out: http://www.sydneyanglicans.net/sydneystories/730a/

If she doesn't mind, can join a Baptist church. Seems to be more good Baptist churches around in Western Australia.
